Raquel Turner, played by the actress Tessa Peake-Jones, was ‘Del Boy’ Derek Trotter’s love interest in the nations favourite sitcom, Only Fools and Horses.
Tessa Peake-Jones, now 63, dated her on screen son for nearly 30 years.
Her character was first introduced in the special episode ‘Dates’ in 1988 and Raquel’s appearance was only supposed to be a one-off.
However, fans loved the pair and after pressure on producers, Raquel became a reoccurring character between 1988 to 2003.
Del Boy, who is played by Sir David Jason, and his wife Raquel had their ups and downs, but they shared a son named Damien Trotter.
As an infant, Damien was played by many actors and then portrayed by Ben Smith when Damien was a teen.
Heroes and Villains was an iconic episode where Del Boy and Rodney dressed up as Batman and Robin. At the start of the episode, Rodney, who played Damien’s uncle (Nicolas Lyndhurst), had a futuristic dream about Damien ruling the Western world.
Douglas Hodge, who played Damien in the one-off scene, forces President Keanu to go to war with China, while ruling Trotters Independent Traders with an iron fist.
Douglas, now 61, is well known for his career in theatre, and roles on TV including Black Mirror, The Night Manager, and Penny Dreadful.
The films he has starred in include Red Sparrow, The Report, The Devil All The Time, and Joker.
Tessa and Douglas were a couple for over 25 years and they even share two children together: a son, Charlie and daughter, Mollie Rose.
However, despite the couple’s long partnership, they decided to split in 2013.
Despite Douglas’s one and only appearance, Tessa returned to the much-loved series as Raquel for specials after it ended in 1996, until her final appearance in the 2003 episode Sleepless in Peckham.
