RICKY Gervais has launched a brutal attack on celebrity ponces, after hearing that some of them were accepting honours during the Coronavirus pandemic.
The 59-year-old comic, raged against some famous names, included in the 2021 ‘New Year Honours list for OBEs and knighthoods’.

He said, “You know you have to campaign for a knighthood?”
“You have to write letters and get sponsored.”
“It’s the same with all these s****y little honours.”
“They just shouldn’t go to f*****g celebrities. I’ve seen things like MBE for Services to Acting.”

“F*****g services to acting? A silly t**t put on a wig and said some lines and got paid millions — he doesn’t need an MBE for Services to Acting.”
His comments were in reference to acting stars including Toby Jones, 54, Lesley Manville, 64, and Sheila Hancock, 87, whom were all named in the latest 2021 Honours List.
Ricky was adamant that he would rather see frontline workers being given the awards given they truly deserve them.

He continued, “There’s people working f*****g 14-hour shifts — nurses and f*****g teachers and doctors.”
“Give it to them, don’t give it to some ponce for doing f*****g Shakespeare.”
Ricky, who ironically lives in a £10.9million home in the area of North London, with long-term girlfriend Jane Fallon, famously slammed “hypocritical” Hollywood stars and shamed royal Prince Andrew, at the Golden Globes last year.

Ricky is right. There are far better people out there that deserve recognition for what they do. Going MBE’s etc to the rich and famous just widens the gap between the haves and the have nots.
