Sir Billy Connolly has now received his second Covid-19 jab, with the legendary comedian now fully vaccinated against the troublesome virus.
The Big Yin wore a mask as he went to get his second injection at his local supermarket in Florida.
His wife Pamela Stephenson shared a picture subsequently on Twitter of the Scottish funny man who quoted ‘wee jab – nae bother!’ as he got his jab.
The couple are now left a little more ‘relieved’, given that the 78-year-old comedy icon now has some protection, as he continues to battle Parkinsons.
Billy and Pamela, married for 30 years, currently reside in the USA.
He was first diagnosed with the degenerative disorder in 2013, but claims it has taught him life-affirming and inspiring lessons about the people he is closest to.
Pamela posted on Twitter: “Billy just had his second Covid 19 vaccination!”
“We waited our turn and received them at our local Public supermarket.”
“So relieved he has some protection now!”
He said “Wee jab – nae bother!”
The tweet resulted in thousands of likes and hundreds of well wishes for the Scottish born barnstorm.
Scotland’s Justice Minister, Humza Yousaf, said, “The big yin getting a wee jab, brilliant to see.”
One fan quoted, “Wee jab nae bother, ya can take the man oot off glesga, but ya cannaie take the glesga oot the man.”
A second fan said: “Sending much love to you both from the wet lands. You are giants of positivity. Thanks for sharing.”
