The songwriter and actress, famously had a two- week mini fling in 2005, with actor Steve Coogan.
But the star 56, has since claimed that the 55 year old is ‘one of life’s great shames’ along with crack in a a recent Instagram post.
She went on to state, ‘Just the period, sloppiness, men, money, drugs, nightmare…. although Chateau Miraval (where we made it) doesn’t suck.’
She then finished her insta post, by saying ‘Thanks to my fave Aussie @joedadic .. I’m oddly … strangely satisfied with this…’
Courtney, who was previously married to late Nirvana singer and guitarist, Kurt Cobain, previously told The Evening Standard, that she only knew Coogan, from his role as record boss Tony Wilson in movie 24 hour party people, and had not heard of his Alan Partridge character.
She stated: ‘I thought he was Tony Wilson in 24 Hour Party People — someone I’d always had a daddy thing for.’
‘I had never seen Alan Partridge. But I was in a band with people who did know Alan Partridge, so I had to make a record with them constantly saying, “Back of the net!”’
She admitted: ‘All it was, was a couple of sh**s at the Sunset Marquis and I did not know he was Alan Partridge.’
Following the fling, it was reported that Courtney Love was expecting Steve Coogan’s baby when she reported to News of the World, ‘Yes, I am pregnant with Steve’s baby, but I’d rather not talk about our relationship.’
The singer was admitted to rehab after that incident, in order to kick her ongoing drug habit, and later released an official statement.
‘Courtney Love wishes to make it clear that she denies recent stories suggesting she is pregnant or has had a relationship with Steve Coogan.’
‘She confirms that she and Steve are good friends and have met a few times in Los Angeles.’
Coogan’s spokesperson said: ‘He is astonished by this. It is ridiculous.’
Piers Morgan, 55, addressed the story in an interview with Coogan for GQ magazine.
‘Take the stuff with Courtney Love, for example. I was more fed up with people texting me saying, “Are you all right?” than I was by anything else.’
‘Of course I was all right. I was fine. Just go away all of you.’
Piers went on to ask him: ‘How true was the Courtney story, then?’
He replied: ‘Some of it was true, most of it was b*****ks. To borrow the title of the film, it was 20 per cent c***, and 80 per cent bull.’
Courtney previously reported to the Sunday Times that she stopped taking cocaine after the fling had ended.
She quoted, ‘That was a two-week fling and we didn’t even exchange numbers at the end of it. That was my last dance with cocaine.’
‘When it comes to things like opiates, or cocaine, or even tequila, it’s hard. I love opiates and I went to the dentist recently and he gave me whatever I wanted. I said, “I think I’m in love with you.”’
‘I hadn’t gotten that high in years and I was allowed to do it legally because I had to get this molar fixed.’
